About Promohub - Client A
Valassis needed an additional resource that they could call upon when their own team of developers were fully committed to other projects. Having performed the usual requisite due diligence Acumen were chosen to be that resource. Valassis provide their clients with web interfaces, often referred to by the generic title Promohub's, so that the client can see the results of the work undertaken by Valassis on their behalf in respect of coupon and voucher redemptions. As usual we met and discussed the requirements before preparing a detailed specification. The complexity in this project wasn't so much the application but the data management - the database contained 50 million rows of data which needed to be searched and the results displayed to the user in no more than a few seconds.

About Retailer Portal - Client B
Following on from the successful implementation of PromoHub for Valassis's Client A, we were again chosen by Valassis to provide a Retailer Portal for another of their major clients (Client B). The Retailer Portal (a web interface) provides the client with the results of the work undertaken by Valassis on their behalf in respect of coupon and voucher redemptions, and gives users (at the client's retail points) the ability to submit coupon claims and then track, manage and raise queries on those claims. Administrative level functionality allows the client to manage different aspects of the retail outlets, from a simple change of managers right through to change of ownership. Various reports and graphs give vital feedback, which is essential in a fast moving modern business environment. In line with our usual methodology, we met and discussed the requirements before preparing a detailed specification. The finished solution was delivered on time and on budget.

About Reporting Portal - Client C
We were once again requested by Valassis to provide a Portal for another of their major high street clients (Client C). The Reporting Portal (a web interface) provides the client with a grid of various reports given certain parameters, these reports are then available to download as excel spreadsheets for later interogation. The Portal provides three levels of user security and despite being a small application still carries a full admin (back end) interface. Due to the straight forward requirements of the project and detailed specifications of the previous Portals, Valassis were happy to finalise the specification via email. As with the other two Portals, the finished solution was delivered on time and on budget.
